From Dr. Lauer:
As many of you know for the last few years the VA has been covered by Dr Sanchez. He has recently resigned and moved to California.
We have just been approached by the VA that they have approximately 80 patients under active care that need to be seen urgently. We have agreed to absorb these patients (I believe this is the right thing to do).
Over the next 2 months you may see an influx of new VA patients. I believe this will be a temporary load that will primarily affect GU, Lung and Heme.
I apologize for any inconvenience and as always I appreciate all you do.
