Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition Award Funding – Abstract due 12/17

Dear Cancer Center Members and Graduate Student Associates:

There is a special grant mechanism that offers support for those working on cancer-relevant problems and who are interested in pursuing a subsequent postdoc to further expand their training and skills.

Only one submission is allowed per institution; therefore, if you are interested, please respond to the following request for short pre-application by Dec. 17th to be considered for a full application submission by Feb. 21, 2019.

Request for Statement of Interest: RFA-CA-18-001

HSC Research Office is requesting statements of interest for the NIH NCI Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition Award (F99/K00) (RFA-CA-18-001) funding opportunity. The funding agency limits the number of proposals per institution to one whether identified by a single DUNS number or by multiple DUNS numbers for schools/colleges/divisions within the institution. If you are interested in submitting a preliminary proposal, please send a statement of interest with a brief abstract (maximum 1 page pdf) via e-mail to cmisenar@salud.unm.edu  by noon, December 17, 2018.  Based on the e-mail responses received, the Limited Competition Committee may announce a call for preproposals.  Please distribute this notice to departments and individuals whom you believe would be interested. The deadline for full proposals to the agency is February 21, 2019.
